“I don’t want it. Remember what I told you, for the fights that Dustin has been in, Dan Hooker, Justin Gaethje, Max Holloway, Khabib. I wanted him to take a little bit of a step back in terms of who he fights next. Not another guy that is going to be a blood and guts war. There are guys in there that he can go out there and fight. I am not even talking about guys out of the top-10. They are gonna be tough. There are other fights out there for Justin. Now you are going to fight the #1 contender again.” Cormier stated.

“Wait. No, I never said I am happy. I am saying that initially when everybody was pumped and jazzed about the fight, I am thinking, gosh, I wish he would have gotten, maybe a wrestler. Somebody who is going to hold him down and he can submit him. Maybe something different where he is not getting punched in the face and elbowed the whole time. And even if he wins the fight, which he can. Tony is going to cut him up and Tony is going to do all these thing which is going to make the fight difficult.”
