Sean O’Malley is probably feeling like the king of the world after his recent win at UFC 292. Having been crowned the bantamweight champion of the world, O’Malley will have the wind in his sails. However, O’Malley had the ‘king’ mindset even before he became a champion.
After his title fight against Aljamain Sterling, O’Malley delved deeper into his personal life and his relationship with his wife, Danya Gonzalez. Speaking to Bradley Martyn on Raw Talk, O’Malley opened up about his open relationship with his partner. However, whilst O’Malley is fine with this arrangement, Danya is not always too keen on it.
Talking about the situation, O’Malley says, “I’m a king, I pay for everything. I treat Danya like a queen. If I get a little p–s on the side, what does that have to do with anything? I have testosterone running through my veins; it’s simple”. Further, he adds, “Danny is never fine with it, I mean, she has been. She’s gone through phases, but then we have a baby and then her hormones change”. Additionally, O’Malley is very particular about the fact that he is the only one who gets to have relations outside their marriage.
Thus, his wife Danya is barred from seeing or having relations with other men. Unsurprisingly, a lot of people online have found O’Malley’s comments distasteful and offensive towards his wife. As such, his actions have been called out by many, including UFC legend Vitor Belfort. Moreover, many have blamed Andrew Tate and his red pill ideology behind the behavior of O’Malley and many others.
Sean O’Malley is in an open relationship with Danya Gonzalez
Initially, the couple met whilst training Brazilian Jiu-jitsu at a gym. Over time the two bonded over mixed martial arts and started dating. Throughout the years, Danya has been very supportive of Sean and his career. As for Danya, Sean has described her as his “hairstylist, massage therapist, physical therapist, chef, nutritionist”.Thus, it is safe to say that Danya is a vital part of the bantamweight champ’s life.
Further, the couple welcomed their first daughter together, named Elena in late 2020. Other than that, Danya is said to be pursuing competitive Jiu-Jitsu and studying Mixed Martial Arts as well. Additionally, she is also the owner of ‘Hairapy By Danya’, and has accumulated some high-profile clientele over the years.
On numerous occasions, O’Malley has opened up about his relationship with Danya. In every sense of the word, their relationship is rather ‘unconventional’. As The Sugar Show himself has stated, he is allowed to have extra-marital affairs with other women whilst his wife is not. However, there is an exception wherein they have tried ‘out of the box’ things. As O’Malley has revealed, “The coolest thing that’s ever happened in our relationship, we’ve had some dope threesomes.”
For the most part, Sean has quoted Andrew Tate and his explanation of being a ‘high-value man’. “Andrew Tate explains it well. It’s status. You know I got status, so I can,” he says.
All things considered, O’Malley seems to believe that his open relationship with Danya has really helped their marriage. By having such an arrangement, there are no secrets between the two, and at the same time, it reportedly increases their love for each other.
