Jon Jones has had a long road to redemption. Although he has been a dominant champion inside the Octagon, his life outside it has been controversial. As such, let’s look at one aspect of it: his relationship troubles with his fiancé, Jessie Moses.
Notably, the couple’s story started when they were still in high school. Despite going to different colleges, their love story continued with Jon eventually popping the big question in 2013. Since then, the couple has been engaged and even has three daughters, Leah born in 2008, Carmen Nicole born in 2009; and Olivia Haven born in 2013.
Unfortunately, this seemingly perfect story was riddled with troubles, first with Jones testing positive for banned substances on two occasions, a hit and run involving a pregnant woman, and a DUI during the COVID-19 pandemic. However, the last straw was a domestic violence incident at a Las Vegas hotel in September 2021.
According to reports, Jones was arrested leaving the hotel, and had to face battery charges. Although Jones denied harming Jessie during the incident, sources claim that the evidence on the scene and witness reports were conclusive. Moreover, the case was dropped after Jones reportedly took a plea deal.
Are Jon Jones and Jessie Moses still together?
Unfortunately, in early 2022 Jones took to Twitter to reveal that Jessie had left him and was not planning on coming back. In a now-deleted Twitter tirade, Jones stated that it was a “good day for a Jon Jones hater”. Up until his return to the UFC, there had been no further news about his relationship with Moses.
Then, at the completion of his training camp for UFC 285, Jones penned a heartfelt message for his team. Notably, he mentioned his “beautiful fiancé,” thanking her for her support throughout. This got the rumor mill up and running about a potential patch-up between the pair. Additionally, in the lead-up to UFC 285, Jones revealed that his “wife” had been right beside him, all throughout the fight week.

Finally, fans’ theories were confirmed true after Jesse Moses was spotted entering the arena alongside Jones. Further, after his dominant victory over Ciryl Gane, Jones was seen embracing Moses inside the Octagon. Thus, we can now say that the couple has seemingly worked through their differences and are now back together.
Notably, Jones has been referring to Jessie as his “wife” which could imply that the pair has already tied the knot or is planning to do so very very soon. With Jones becoming the new heavyweight champion of the world and the undisputed GOAT, celebrations are in order. As such, a marriage ceremony could possibly be the way to go. Only time will tell.
