MMA journalist Ariel Helwani has now got UFC commentator Joe Rogan into his dispute with the UFC president Dana White and UFC lightweight Paddy Pimblett. For the past couple of weeks, Ariel Helwani and Paddy Pimeblett have been taking shots at each other. This all started after an interview between Paddy Pimbeltt and Dana White.
The duo did an interview before UFC 282 event. During this interview, they took lots of shoots at MMA journalist Ariel Helwani. The tarnished relationship between Ariel Helwani and Dana White has been known for a while. But now UFC lightweight star Paddy Pimbeltt has also picked his dispute with Ariel Hewlani.
Paddy Pimbeltt stated that Ariel is a selfish content creator who uses UFC fighters to fill up his pocket. He accused Ariel Helwani of making money off fighters and not paying them anything in return. He also said that Ariel doesn’t pay any fighter a penny to be on his show. Paddy Pimbeltt wanted Helwani to start paying the fighters a slack of the money he makes through covering these fighters.
Ariel Helwani then responded to this interview by saying that he will not be paying fighters as it is against journalism ethics.
“You want me to pay for interviews that’s not journalism and and we may have a difference of opinion on what I do as opposed to what you think I do, I ain’t paying for sh*t, that’s not how this works you don’t pay for coverage that’s not how this works does Joe Rogan pay his guess do do all that”
Helwani then also included UFC commentator and Podcast host Joe Rogan in this controversy. Ariel Helwani stated that even Joe Rogan doesn’t pay his guest who appears in his world-famous podcast called ‘The Joe Rogan Experience. Helwani wanted to make his point stating that even one of the biggest podcast hosts in the world, Joe Rogan doesn’t pay his guest to appear on the show.
Joe Rogan won’t leave UFC under one condition
UFC commentator and MMA enthusiast Joe Rogan has been an integral part of the UFC. He has been their main man for over two decades. In 1997, Joe Rogan started working for the UFC as their lead interviewer and also a color commentator.
He was once asked if he will leave the UFC to which he replied that he will keep working for the promotion but it has one condition. He stated that he will be with the UFC till UFC president Dana White is the head. Joe said that he likes working for the promotion alongside UFC president Dana White. But the moment White calls it an end, even Joe will part ways with the organization.
Joe Rogan isn’t dependent on the UFC. He is a successful podcast host. According to some reports, Rogan had signed a $100 million deal with Spotify. His podcast is one of the biggest podcasts in the world with millions of fans regularly watching it. Some of his most viewed episodes include guests like Elon Musk, Mike Tyson, Alex Jones, Dan Bilzerian, Ben Shapiro, Edward Snowden, and many more. All these episodes have millions of views on the internet.
