Elon Musk and Mark Zuckerberg have traded heated words over their respected kingdoms in the past. However, no one could have possibly imagined that the duo would be willing to throw down in a cage one day. A seemingly humorous tweet from the Tesla CEO has now led to what the world touts as the biggest possible fight in the combat sports realm.
Almost everyone, right from UFC president Dana White, to various fighting personalities, is on board for the gigantic showdown. However, there’s one person who has made it clear right off the bat that she’s against the two tech giants locking horns. It just so happens to be Musk’s mother.
A verbal fight only. Three questions each. The funniest answers win. Who agrees? https://t.co/qDQ6Ae9lEU

Right from the inception of the potential scrap between her son and the Meta CEO, Maye Musk has publicly expressed her disagreement towards it. In a series of tweets, the 75-year-old has said that she doesn’t want the two to engage in a fight. As per her, Elon Musk and Mark Zuckerberg should instead have a verbal yet friendly fight. “The funniest answers win”, Maye adds.
Podcaster and famed AI researcher Lex Fridman recently shared that a Jiu-Jitsu match between the tech moguls would be great. To this, Maye responded with – “Don’t encourage this match! 😠😠” It is clear that Maye doesn’t want her son to fight, regardless of whether it’s in a cage or on the mats.

No date has yet been set for the fight, which Elon proposed and Mark took the bait on. Several reports suggest that the odds are in Mark’s favor as the fight talks progress. Furthermore, Musk seems pretty fired up, though he will be up against a younger and much fitter Zuckerberg.
Elon Musk wants to go “full MMA” for his Mark Zuckerberg fight
Amid the progressive talks of his fight with Mark Zuckerberg, Musk hasn’t stopped being verbal about the same. At first, the 51-year-old expressed his desire to fight in UFC’s Octagon. And to double down on it, Musk recently stated that he wants the fight to take place under Mixed Martial Arts rules.
Under the same aforementioned tweet made by Lex Fridman, the SpaceX boss said, “Let’s go full MMA” It is noteworthy that many people are aware of Zuckerberg’s prowess in combat sports. Earlier last month, Mark went on to secure one gold and one silver medal in a Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu tournament. Naturally, fight enthusiasts are curious to know what could Elon possibly bring to the table.

If we consider Dana White’s words, Musk has “trained in martial arts too.” Speaking on The Pat McAfee Show, White quoted what Musk revealed to him in a recent conversation. Dana stated, “He (Elon) says, ‘You know, I grew up in South Africa. I’ve been in a lot of fights. It’s not like I haven’t fought before.”
Aside from the above revelation, the Twitter boss himself detailed the various forms of martial arts he’d trained in. In what was his second appearance on the famed JRE podcast, Musk shared that he’d trained in Judo, Kyokushin Karate, and Taekwondo as a kid.
In the same episode, Musk told Joe Rogan that he also “did Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu briefly.” Following this, Elon disclosed that he has been sending his kids for BJJ training since they turned six. This just goes to show that he’s always had an affinity towards martial arts since his adolescence, which he now passes on to his kids.
Though his martial arts training happened during his childhood years, Musk appears pretty confident in the buildup to the potential fight. And going by his martial arts background, though dated, several critics now feel that the bout won’t be as easy as they’d initially presumed.
