Poirier was asked how he felt about the current UFC lightweight champion Islam Makhachev questioning his black belt in Brazilian Jiu Jitsu in an interview with BT Sport ahead of the hugely anticipated UFC PPV.
Earlier Islam Makhachev had mocked Dustin Poirier’s BJJ skills looking at his fight against Charles Oliveira. Needless to say, he was not really impressed. The lightweight champion claims that many black belts are “making jiu-jitsu appear bad.”
