Elon Musk, the CEO of Tesla, recently featured once again on The Joe Rogan Experience podcast, engaging in a nearly three-hour conversation. Around the two-hour mark of the podcast, the discussion shifted towards the highly publicized showdown between Musk and Meta CEO Mark Zuckerberg, which generated substantial anticipation during the summer.
Although the bout between these tech leaders never materialized, Musk expressed his continued willingness to participate in such an event. He also maintained his confidence in his combat abilities, asserting that he has received training in Judo, Taekwondo, Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu, and even ‘street fighting’.
Musk also hinted at the potential disadvantages of Mark Zuckerberg’s greater height, suggesting that it would make executing submission techniques like an armbar more challenging for him in a grappling match.
However, the SpaceX boss might have crossed the line, according to some fans, as he tried going to Zuckerberg’s house in order to confirm the fight between them. “I tried going to his house, actually, because he lives in Palo Alto. He’s not far. I think he’s three miles away from the Tesla California headquarters, but I don’t know there’s anybody there,” said Elon Musk on ‘The Joe Rogan Experience‘.
The UFC commentator Rogan found it really interesting as he said, “It’s even more funny when it’s two of the richest guys in the world”. So, it is pretty clear that Musk is still very interested in the billionaire fight between him and the Facebook boss, and he has put in a lot of effort to make it happen.
Joe Rogan feels Elon Musk vs. Mark Zuckerberg should happen at the Sphere
The epic fight between Elon Musk and Mark Zuckerberg was first supposed to happen in Rome, Italy, as per a tweet by the former. However, Joe Rogan feels that this battle should happen at the Sphere in Las Vegas, Nevada. Musk also agreed, as he also feels it would be a perfect location. Nevertheless, it all seems dull, as apparently Zuckerberg is not interested in the fight anymore.
As for Musk, he went on to confidently claim that defeating Mark Zuckerberg would pose no challenge for him, given his substantial weight advantage of approximately 240 lbs. He cited his prior wrestling match with Lex Fridman, who is significantly heavier than Mark Zuckerberg, as an example of his capabilities.
In 2022, Elon Musk acquired Twitter (now X), a competitor brand to that of Mark Zuckerberg. Tensions between the two business magnates escalated when Zuckerberg launched a new company called ‘Threads’, which is direct competition for X.
Elon issued a challenge to Mark Zuckerberg for a cage fight, which was subsequently confirmed by Dana White. Both individuals displayed a strong commitment to this high-profile showdown, and both of them even trained with MMA experts. By August 2023, discussions about this fight had reached their zenith. However, Mark Zuckerberg later declared on his platform, Threads, that he believed Elon Musk was not truly committed to the idea.
