The UFC middleweight champion, Israel Adesanya has come out in support of Joe Rogan. The latter has been a subject of controversy since late last year. However, Rogan issued an apology video in the hope to tackle the situation.
But things have taken a turn for the worse. A video compilation dropped recently where the comedian was heard using a despicable racial slur which is incredibly offensive to people of colour. Rogan has reportedly clarified that the videos were taken out of context. He also apologized for it.
Since that, there have been calls for ‘The Joe Rogan Experience’ to be taken off air from Spotify. With his back against the wall, Joe Rogan has finally found some support from the MMA community. UFC fighter Terrance McKinney put out a Tweet in solidarity with the UFC colour commentator. It has gained over 126k likes.
I don’t feel Joe Rogan is racist, and I don’t need white people telling me what he says is supposed to offend me

Now, Israel Adesanya has also commented on the issue. In the press conference for his UFC 271 main event against Robert Whittaker, Izzy heaped praise on Joe Rogan.

“Let me take this one, hold up. I’m black, I can take this one. Look, there’s a lot of cunts in this game. There’s a lot of snakes in this game. I’ve been in this fight game since 2008. And Joe Rogan is one of the nicest, coolest, humble motherf***ers I’ve had the pleasure of working with.”
“You know, f**k the noise, you know what they tryna do. You can’t control them man. And he has got the biggest platform in the world right now. That’s my n***a Joe Rogan. F**k the noise,” concluded Adesanya.

Adesanya will step inside the octagon in two days’ time to defend his 185lbs belt against Whittaker. While he won the first fight, the second one promises to be another ballgame entirely. The event will take place in Texas, the current home state of Joe Rogan. Hence, fans can expect the 54-year to be present in the commentary booth.
