UFC 285 has just closed it’s curtains, with Jon Jones securing a guillotine submission win over his French opponent and no. 1 contender Ciryl Gane for the heavyweight belt. Jones not only attained the heavyweight gold tonight, he also proved to everyone why he’s the GOAT (Greatest Of All Time). Fans saw ‘Bones’ coming off a 3 year layoff, packing on a tonne of mass and muscle to make way for his heavyweight debut tonight.
In his post-fight interview with Joe Rogan, Jones called out the former heavyweight champion Stipe Miocic.
“Ohh yeah baby, Y’all wanna see me beat up Stipe?”, He asked the crowd.
“One thing I know about the UFC, is we give the fans what they wanna see. Stipe Miocic, I hope you’re training, my guy. You’re the greatest heavyweight of all time. and that’s what I want, I want you, real bad”, He added.

But that is not all, in the post-fight press conference, Jon was asked by a reporter if he has any response to Francis’ latest tweet, to which Jon said –
“Francis is a big old p*ssy“. A few seconds later, we can see Jon bursting into sudden laughter before adding “I love that quote, I love it. All that muscle with a big a*s p*ssy.”
Fans noticed something weird with the style and speed of Jones’ striking during the UFC 285 main event, so when asked by a reporter if he felt ‘off’ with his striking or was there any nerves or ‘ring rust’, to which Jon responded with –
“There’s always a slight feeling-out process. I actually was dealing with a slight injury before this fight, and I didn’t really spar many times, I sparred a total of 3 times in this training camp. and so my striking felt a little unfamiliar.”
Jon didn’t skip a beat and gave a very candid & open response, He went “I was out there, it was almost like I was trying to remember how to do it, fight on the feet for a moment. But, thank god that didn’t last too long. I was able to get my hands on him [Ciryl Gane].”
Jon Jones vs Francis Ngannou will never happen in the UFC
As per our previous report, UFC president Dana White recently addressed a media scrum post UFC 285 ceremonial weigh-ins. After being asked a question about the return of the former heavyweight champion Francis Ngannou, he went on to declare that Francis will never fight in the UFC ever again. and Dana didn’t stop right there, he doubled down and added “I never say never, but I’ll give you a never on that one.”
If anything from the above interview is to go by, we are sure to never be able to see Jon Jones throw down against the former African champion Francis Ngannou, atleast inside the Octagon. While fans might suggest Jon a transition over to Boxing, we all know how stringent a UFC contract is, especially for their reigning defending champions, disabling Jon to even think of making such a move.
Jon Jones vs Francis Ngannou would be a gigantic fight for the ages, but will we ever be a witness to it? or will Jon transition over to Boxing just to meet Francis in his own new endeavour? Only time will tell.
