The rivalry between Conor McGregor and Daniel Cormier is heating up as The Notorious One launched a series of insults towards the former UFC two-division champion.
Conor McGregor called out DC for getting drunk during his media appearances for UFC 264 and then even went on to congratulate Jon Jones for his head kick KO over Cormier in the rematch.
It should be noted that the rivalry between McGregor and Cormier started when the Notorious One insulted Khabib Nurmagomedov and his father with the tweet “COVID is Good and Father is evil” It was a response to Khabib’s tweet “Good always defeats evil”.
Now it’s the turn of McGregor who mocked Daniel Cormier for his KO loss to Jon Jones. Cormier has fought Jones twice in the lightweight division and lost both the fights. While he lost the first fight via decision he lost the second fight via a brutal head kick KO.
Mocking Daniel Cormier, Conor McGregor tweeted:
It is a sackable offense for a commentator to be drunk at presswork the day before commentating the big fight. Dreadful! Get it together. Belching in the mic at a press event and all wtf. The day before commenting the big fight? Is this guy serious? Disgraceful.
Your back situations just mental too. Your weight and way of life is abysmal. And now drunk at work the day before you commentate a McGregor event? Pitiful. Congrats Jon on his head kick KO anniversary over you. Good always defeats evil? Wasn’t sure you were evil. Fakes.
Daniel Cormier’s response to Conor McGregor
Conor McGregor has lost two fights to Dustin Poirier in 2021. Prior to that, he has lost to Khabib Nurmagomedov at UFC 229. The only win McGregor has in the last few years is against Donald Cerrone at the welterweight division. So it’s safe to say that McGregor is in an extremely tough position in his career. He is still the biggest draw right now in the world of combat sports but not many fans will consider him one of the best fighters in UFC right now.
The former UFC heavyweight champion did not hold back after the series of tweets from McGregor and gave him valuable advice. Cormier stated: ” We can’t fight, it’s all just talk so stop! Thank you for watching. Get help, Win a fight.”
