Jon Jones and Israel Adesanya have been trading insults for a meaningful period now. And after Adesanya’s dominating win over Paulo Costa, the rivalry is getting more intense.
In the post-fight press conference of UFC 253, Israel Adesanya stated that he still wanted to “f**k up” Jon Jones but he would have to consult his coach Eugene Bareman before that.
Well, Jones has been trolling Adesanya ever since for ducking a fight with him. The former light heavyweight champion explained that despite having more than 100 fight experience Adesanya is still not ready to move up to light heavyweight. He also warned Adesanya that he would literally tear his arm apart if they face in the octagon.
“Shut the f**k up Jones”- Israel Adesanya trades insults wit Jon Jones
The rivalry of Jon Jones vs Israel Adesanya continues
The series of insults does not end there as Jones trolls Adesanya with this post on twitter. Jones posted:
1. Dye my hair pink
2. Grow a pair of breasts
3. Convince the world Jon Jones is jealous even though he’s undefeated, incredibly successful and the youngest champion in the sports history.
4. Mentioned Jon Jones in all interviews but avoid fighting him at all costs
Israel Adesanya’s left pectoral muscle caught the attention of fans during UFC 253. It looked as if Adesanya had extra fat “gyno” on his left chest, which was not their earlier. Fans even speculated that this was a result of Adesanya taking PEDs.
Jones did not let this one go silently as he mocked Adesanya over this controversy. However, Adesanya has firmly denied the accusations of using steroids.
The banter between Jon Jones and Israel Adesanya is indeed entertaining to the fans as they wait for them to face off inside the octagon. However, we might have to wait for a good amount of time until we see this fight.
Israel Adesanya wants to fight against opponents such as Jared Cannonier and Darren Till before he moves up to light heavyweight or heavyweight. On the other hand, Jon Jones is moving to heavyweight and is likely to fight the winner of Stipe Miocic vs Francis Ngannou.
