It is always nice to see two rivals bury their hatches and form a good working relationship. However, it is extremely rare in the world Of Mixed Martial Arts (MMA). But Henry Cejudo and Demetrious Johnson have seemingly put aside their differences.
In a recent video, Demetrious ‘Mighty Mouse‘ Johnson was seen hanging out at Cejudo’s place in Arizona. Both of them were in a jovial mood as they started talking about their earlier fights. Seeing them together like that sparked a lot of speculation on how the meeting took place and whether there was something cooking between them or not?
During the latest episode of his podcast with The Schmo called ‘The Triple C & Schmo Show‘, Henry Cejudo revealed that Johnson himself wanted to get in touch with him via Will Harris. The conversation between the two former UFC champions went well and they are even planning to train together. He said,
“We just started chit-chatting. Actually Will Harris kind of connected us. Shout out to Will Harris from ‘Anatomy of a fighter‘ man, doing some big things. So he connected us. He called me and he’s like ‘somebody wants to kinda chat with you.’ And (I’m) just like ‘guess!'”
“I gave him every name under the sun but Demetrious Johnson and that’s what happened to be. And he chit-chatted man, you know. Maybe (I’ll) get together and train a little bit with DJ. Exchange knowledge and that’s it. So thought it was super, super cool for first of all him and his wife to come over to the house and it was a treat man!”
Henry Cejudo: ‘Demetrious Johnson is the second greatest MMA fighter’
Henry Cejudo added that the current One Championship fighter is on a vacation in Arizona where he stays. Hence, they will train together which will be beneficial to both parties. Triple C also called DJ the 2nd greatest MMA fighter of all time. He added,
“He is going to be spending some time in Arizona. He’s like, ‘Henry, let’s help each other.’ And I’m all about it Schmo. Like I said before man, I think Demetrious Johnson is the second greatest Mixed Martial Artist of all time right next to Jon Jones. So I think we can learn tons from each other.

Henry Cejudo previously announced that he is all set to come out of retirement to pursue his dreams of becoming the first 3 division UFC champion. Hence, he has his sights set on Alexander Volkanovski who is the present featherweight champion. But the UFC president Dana White is not into the idea.
According to White, Cejudo has to fight his way into another title shot at any division instead of calling out other competitors on social media. As a result, it looks unlikely that he will fight for the belt straight away. Can Henry Cejudo run through a 145lbs pound full of elite fighters? Fans will get their answers soon.
