Ahead of the anticipated match-up, Dominick Reyes looked confident and vowed to win the light heavyweight championship at UFC 254. Reyes termed himself as a “special fighter” and stated that he will become the Champion this weekend. Regardless, the conclusion of the fight will crown a new light heavyweight Champion for the first time in almost a decade beside Daniel Cormier and Jon Jones. After a dominant run as the undisputed king of the light heavyweight division, Jon Jones announced his move to the heavyweight division, vacating the title belt in the process.

Dominick Reyes confident of a victory of over Jan Blachowicz
Jan Blachowicz picked up a brutal KO win over UFC veteran Corey Anderson in the first round to announce his contention for the title belt. With notable victories over Jared Cannonier, Ronaldo Souza, Luke Rockhold, Corey Anderson among others, Jan Blachowicz is a serious threat at the division. Reyes remains undefeated barring the sole controversial decision loss to former Champion Jon Jones.

In a recent episode of the UFC 253 Embedded, Dominick Reyes spoke about the match-up as he enjoyed a lovely time of basketball, before going to cycling in the middle of the night at Abu Dhabi.
“Never up at this time ever. It’s really beautiful. Super serene, super quiet.” Reyes continued, “It’s just special. It’s like a special time, special event, special island, like everything is special about this and I am a special fighter and I am about to become Champion.”

Dominick Reyes is as special as it gets. With stoppage victories over Jared Cannonier, Chris Weidman, and impressive wins against Ovince Saint Preux and Volkan Oezdemir, fight fans feel that Reyes will be the light-heavyweight Champion for quite some time.
