In September of 2021, Paddy Pimblett made history by signing a massive deal with Barstool sports. The contract is reportedly worth seven figures and Pimblett got it just after one fight in the UFC.
‘The Baddy’ made his debut in the promotion last year. On September 5, he took on Luigi Vendramini in a 3 round fight. From his unorthodox haircut to hod reckless yet accurate striking, everything about him caught the attention of the audience.
Despite getting caught with a few hard punches, Pimblett was able to finish Vendramini at the very end of the first round. The chaotic fight won him a lot of admirers, including the owner of Barstool Sports, Dave Portnoy.

“Yeah lad, Barstool is the best company in the world lad. Barstool was made for me, I was made for Barstool. Seriously, when I went into that office, I was just like, ‘this is me.’ It’s just a company that epitomizes me.”
“I can’t thank them enough, Everyone over there. I don’t reckon anyone’s ever had a sponsorship deal after one fight like that. And it’s gonna be a great partnership.”
“It’s gonna grow into it even more and more. I can’t wait to go back over to the States after this and get some more stuff done with Barstool. Just to thank them.”

Paddy Pimblett is certainly on an upward trajectory. If he wins this Saturday against Rodrigo Vargas, Pimblett will certainly get a top 15 ranked fighter. With a few back-to-back wins, he may find himself in the title picture. Paddy may also fancy a fight against Conor McGregor.
He may already have set up his next fight. He and Ilia Topuria got into a heated altercation yesterday. Both of them have will fight on the same card this Saturday. Hence, it will not be surprising to see the UFC matching them up against each other if they come away with wins in their respective bouts.
