The youngest fighter in the UFC, Raul Rosas Jr. created history at UFC 282 after beating the veteran fighter Jay Perrin. It was the 18-year-old’s promotional debut and already had a lot of hype behind him. Rosas Jr. was coming into the fight after beating Mando Gutierrez on Dana White’s Contender Series.
Now after a successful debut, Rosas Jr. showed that he is ready to take part in the big league. After the big victory, Rosas Jr. requested UFC president Dana White that he wants to buy his mother a minivan. In the post-fight interview, Rosas Jr. said:
“Dana! 50 Gs! I would ask Santa Claus, but I don’t if Santa Claus can give it to me right now after this fight. I need that 50 Gs so I can buy my mother a minivan and she can give me a ride to PI.”
According to Rosas Jr., he is living a dream life at this point. He showed incredible skills and pretty easily beat Perrin. The 18-year-old is just starting his career and has a bright future ahead. Rosas Jr. added that he had no pressure coming into the fight and is coming for the belt.

At such a young age, Raul Rosas Jr. has shown that he has the potential to be UFC’s next big thing. He already had an unbeaten record and after UFC 282, his resume improved tremendously. This was a milestone in his career and he proved that he is a legitimate threat in the division.
Rosas Jr. has phenomenal grappling skills and he just showed that in his promotional debut. He had a fierce exchange on their feet and then took Perrin down. Rosas Jr. ragdolled Perrin on the ground and dominated him for the rest of the round.

The 18-year-old’s superior ground games came into play and he took down Perrin again when before setting up for the submission. He took the veteran’s back and trapped him with a body triangle. At this point, Perrin couldn’t do much and Rosas Jr. began choking him with a rear-naked choke.
Perrin tapped to the young fighter and Rosas Jr. had a blasting kickstart to his UFC career. He is definitely the future of the division and is only starting. However, the bantamweight division is filled with dangerous fighters and we’ll see how Rosas Jr. fairs against them.
