Conor McGregor-Floyd Mayweather

Conor McGregor sent social media abuzz when he announced that he would retire from the fighting sport, citing concerns with the company, and the monotony of the game. McGregor took to social media, and later celebrated his retirement by cutting a cake. McGregor mentioned how he was bored of the game, and all the waiting around has not been helpful. He also mentioned how UFC should have let him fight Justin Gaethje for the interim title, and according to him, Gaethje vs Khabib in September makes no sense. The former dual champion mentioned how there’s nothing exciting in the division, and reflected on how he feels there’s something missing from the sport. McGregor was confused whether it was no crowd, or something else that has taken the buzz factor out of the game for the former champion. While this isn’t the first time that Conor McGregor has announced his retirement from MMA, the news has certainly brought has certainly brought a lot of questions in the minds of MMA fans.

Additionally, just last month, McGregor called out Justin Gaethje for the UFC title. He was also offered the UFC welterweight title by Kamaru Usman, and had accepted a superfight against Anderson Silva. However, from the looks of it, it’s highly unlikely that McGregor has paid any heed to these call-outs.
