Sean O’Malley has gained popularity not just because of his skills inside the Octagon but also because of his antics outside it. He likes to speak openly about subjects. The bantamweight fighter has been known for advocating marijuana, and these days, he speaks a lot about his open relationship with his wife, Danya Gonzalez.
In a video released by him on his YouTube channel, ‘Suga Sean‘ and his wife reacted to male supremacist Andrew Tate’s comments on feminism and women in general. Tate is known for his controversial comments, especially on this subject, and has been labeled a ‘misogynist’ by many.
However, O’Malley and his wife somewhat agreed with Tate’s comments. The topic then shifted to open relationships, and the fighter did not shy away from giving out his opinions on the matter. O’Malley has several times admitted that he is in an open relationship with his wife. According to O’Malley, he being a fighter and his high testosterone levels are also responsible for this decision of his.
“I’m horny all the time”, said O’Malley, justifying his stance on open relationships. His wife, Danya, also had similar opinions, as she thinks it is different for every couple and this is what works for them. O’Malley has been subjected to a lot of backlash for this personal decision. However, it seems that that does not affect the star fighter, as his wife is fine with it, and that’s what ultimately matters.
Sean O’Malley cannot imagine being with one woman all his life
On the Flagrant Podcast with Andrew Schulz, O’Malley openly discussed his past involvement with other women despite being married. He also delved into his perspective on marriage, viewing it as a constraining idea and expressing his difficulty in envisioning a lifelong commitment to a single woman.
O’Malley used these words to describe himself: “I am a horny motherf*cker.” He further expressed that he had explained to his wife that he wants to be with her and even have more children with her, but he would like to engage in s*xual relationships with other women.
O’Malley could not impress many with his perspective, as fans were of the opinion that this would affect his daughter Elena’s upbringing. However, many lauded the fighter and his wife for having such good chemistry and understanding between them.
Sean O’Malley will be facing the bantamweight champion Aljamain Sterling in his next fight at UFC 292 which will be happening in Boston on Aug 19.
