Hasbulla might arguably be one of the most famous individuals on the planet right now. Despite his tiny stature, global sensation Hasbulla Magomedov has gained a lot of notoriety and fame over the years. His sudden rise to fame has been documented since the COVID-19 days. However, the 20-year-old hasn’t drawn a positive reaction from every move he’s made so far.
Also known as ‘Mini Khabib‘, Hasbulla boasts a staggering 8.2 million followers on Instagram alone. The TikTok star seems to suffer from a medical condition known as Growth Hormone Deficiency (GHD). However, this very condition has led to the Russian star’s fame and fortune as he has become the subject of thousands of reels and memes.
The 20-year-old has made a name for himself owing to his appearance and the confidence he carries with it. Aside from various UFC athletes, the pint-sized star has also rubbed shoulders with the boxing legend Mike Tyson. Moreover, the Dagestani resident shares a close bond with fellow Russian Khabib Nurmagomedov and UFC lightweight champion Islam Makhachev.
Recently, a video emerged online involving Hasbulla and his close friend Islam Makhachev. The latter appears to have the TikTok star cornered in what appears to be a regular gym. Soon after, Islam appeared to point a toy gun toward a nervous Hasbulla.
As per the video, Hasbulla appears to seemingly convince Islam to not point the gun toward him. However, Makhachev started shooting rounds of the toy gun anyway, prompting an intimated Hasbulla to try and leave the area. Like much of the duo’s pranks, the clip has gone viral since.
Hasbulla and Islam Makhachev are Neighbors
Hasbulla Magomedov claims to be from Makhachkala, a city in the Republic of Dagestan. The UFC lightweight champion Islam Makhachev also hails from the same place. This makes the duo neighbors, literally. Many fans mistake the two for being cousins, however, they are really good friends with a brotherly bond.
In his first-ever media scrum, the Russian internet sensation appeared before journalists at Khabib’s Eagle FC 43. He opened up on several subjects, including how he knows Khabib and whether he trains at the ‘Eagle’s gym in Dagestan. Speaking on Islam and Khabib, Hasbulla said, “They are my brothers. That’s why you see us together.”
Aside from having a brotherly relationship, the 20-year-old considers Islam as a really good friend. Hasbulla has even cornered Makhachev in his UFC 267 bout against Dan Hooker in 2021. When asked who he knows really well from the team, Hasbulla shared, “I know Islam [Makhachev] for a long time, very long time. We weren’t close friends but we’ve known each other for about 10 years.”
Islam confirmed the same during an interview with BT Sport. The 31-year-old said, “He is my neighbor. He lives very close to me. I know him like [for] more than 10 years. He loves MMA.” The 20-year-old even made a grand appearance at UFC 280 in Abu Dhabi. This event marked Islam’s championship reign after he dethroned Charles Oliveira in the main event.

However, neither Khabib Nurmagomedov nor Hasbulla was in attendance at UFC 284. The Australian PPV witnessed Makhachev secure a decisive victory in a razer close fight against featherweight king Alexander Volkanovski.
