The Mixed Martial Arts (MMA) community is still buzzing with the aftermath of UFC 284. Islam Makhachev vs Alexander Volkanovski was as thrilling as fans thought it would be. Although Islam won the fight unanimously, the result has divided the fan base. Some think Islam’s win was legit, others like Joe Rogan think Volkanovski was unlucky to lose.
While the results are always a subject of disagreement among the fans, it’s part of the sport. However, the conversation has now shifted toward a more serious topic. Although Makhachev mocked it, Alex’s teammate Dan Hooker made a huge allegation against the Dagestani fighter. He alleged that Islam got a nurse to provide him with an I.V. injection before the fight.

The UFC featherweight champ also had the same opinion. But why did Makhachev feel the need to allegedly take the I.V. injection? The 31-year-old had an especially brutal weight cut before the fight. Although Alex did not necessarily prove his claim, the Aussie thought the I.V. may have helped him rehydrate. It was mainly because of the smaller rehydration period of 24-26 hours.
However, as previously mentioned, all the claims remain unproven. Neither Dan Hooker nor Alexander Volkanovski brought forward any concrete proof. But Dan did mention a nurse who allegedly helped Islam. Will she come forward to clear the rumor? A former UFC title challenger has an interesting take on the matter.
Chael Sonnen gives his take on Islam Makhachev allegedly doping
Former UFC title contender Chael Sonnen is a respected figure in the world of Mixed Martial Arts (MMA). From Jon Jones to Anderson Silva, he has gone up against some of the best fighters in the sport. He also runs a YouTube channel, which has a large audience. In one of his latest videos, Chael revealed his thoughts on the matter.
The UFC legend did not take a side on the matter. However, never the one to shy away from controversial topics, Sonnen did speak on the nurse who allegedly helped Makhachev. Sonnen thinks Makhachev will get away with any supposed wrongdoings. But why does he think so?

Chael Sonnen explained, “If we then had a medical professional, in this case, a nurse, who was coming out and saying, ‘I did it and I will sign here under this sworn testimony…. In America, we take their license away quickly… It’s a lot to believe. It’s a lot to accept. I feel confident in telling you, said nurse is never going to come out.”
The biggest evidence against Islam Makhachev is the apparent injection mark on his hand. However, Rizvan Magomedov, his co-manager claimed that the mark was because of a routine medical test in the land down under. Magomedov also addressed the rumors about the nurse in question. Magomedov claims the nurse was with the Australian commission itself!

Ask hooker find the nurse with commission, she can confirm https://t.co/Vm3uZMR2zH
She apparently did a blood test, which left an injection mark on his vein. So what is your take on this particular issue? Do you think the nurse will come forward to put the issue to bed immediately? Or will she remain anonymous? Let us know in the comments down below.
