Israel Adesanya

Israel Adesanya is going to defend his Middleweight title against Robert Whittaker at UFC 271. Both the fighters have previously met each other inside the octagon before at UFC 243.

Adesanya knocked out Robert Whittaker in that fight and unified the middleweight title. Recently, Israel talked with Combat TV. He was asked if he is going to fight the same way he did in their first fight. To which Adesanya responded saying:

“I’ll put it this way, I’m not gonna fight him the way I fought him the first time and I know he’s not gonna fight me the way he fought me the first time. He is a silly boy. If he thinks he has someone else’s blueprint to beat me he’s a silly man but his team is smart so that’s where umm I take him seriously because of his team he himself, he’s a silly boy”

For Israel, it does not matter to him if Robert Whittaker will make his planning according to Adesanya’s recent loss against Jan. He further added:
“I am not threatened by him but I take him seriously”

Adesanya acknowledges Whittaker’s Coaches. However, that doesn’t threaten him. Whittaker currently has two main coaches behind him. One is his long-time boxing coach Justin Fitzgerald and the other Alex Perez of Gracie Jiu-Jitsu Smeaton Grang. Most probably Adesanya was talking about them.

Israel Adesanya wants people to remember him for his outstanding performances:

Adesanya feels that he is halfway through his fighting career and thus wants to make sure that every fight he fights from now on should leave some memories for the fight fans. While talking about same Israel stated:

“I’ve had over 100 fights. I know I’m definitely over the halfway point of my career in this game so I want to make sure, over the next few years, give outstanding performances.”

He wants to make sure that the people who show up to watch him fight should remember him in the future and go: “I was there, I watch him fight”. Consequently, to achieve these dreams Adesanya is all buckled up. He is ready to take on his opponents starting with Whittaker at UFC 271.

Who do you guys think will win Adesanya vs Whittaker 2? Will Adesanya repeat what he did at UFC 243 or Robert Whittaker will become the new middleweight champion. Do let us know in the comment section.
