Robert Whittaker is riding high on the momentum of 3 back to back wins after losing his title to Israel Adesanya at UFC 243. Since then he has beaten Darren Till, Jared Cannonier and Kelvin Gastelum. During all 3 fights, Whittaker looked better than before.
However, it does not hold any stock for the current middleweight champion Israel Adesanya. According to him, Whittaker has not done anything to command his attention. During an interview on his own YouTube channel, Israel Adesanya broke down Bobby Knuckles’ last 3 victories.
He added, “Did he invent like a new move or something? did he reinvent the jab? He improved yes. But not to the point where people are like Blowing it up to be the proportion. I think people just have low standards, that’s all. I just have high standards. It does not really phase me that well.”
Israel Adesanya: ‘Robert Whittaker looked beatable in his last 3 fights’
Despite being on a winning streak, Robert Whittaker has had moments of weakness in at least two of the fights. In the till fight, ‘The Reaper’ hit the canvas very early in the fight. However, he managed to win the fight via decision. In the fight against Cannonier, Whittaker struggled a bit in the final round.
Israel Adesanya did not overlook that as he added, “Did he look beatable? of course, he did. But he played the game very well against all three opponents. Also at the same time, you put those three guys together, they don’t amount to me. The way they play the game. It’s not the same.”

Adesanya then jokingly mimicked Georges St-Pierre and concluded his thoughts by saying, “I was not impressed by your performance.”
The fight will go down on February 12 in Texas. Robert Whittaker will look to exact revenge while Adesanya will look to keep his winning momentum at middleweight going.
