The never-ending rivalry between Jon Jones and Israel Adesanya continues. On the occasion of Valentine’s day, Adesanya took a dig at Jones’ past.
Jon Jones has quite a rap sheet. He ran his sports car into a pregnant woman in 2012. That was the first time he encountered law enforcement. However, that trend did not stop despite numerous apologies over the years. He was also arrested shortly after his last fight in April of 2020. Jones was reportedly arrested on multiple counts.
However, the incident that Adesanya referred to in his latest post occurred last year. Jon Jones was inducted into the UFC hall of fame for his first fight against Alexander Gustafsson. However, that trip to Vegas did not turn out well for the former UFC light-heavyweight fighter. Jones was arrested for alleged domestic violence.
A recording of the 911 call surfaced and it was very disturbing. The man who dialled the police claimed that the victim refused to go to her room. Even the children present at the scene were shaken by the incident. Jones was later released from custody.

Earlier today, Israel Adesanya posted a meme of a fighter wrapping his hands. In the caption, the meme had, “Jon Jones wrapping a Valentine’s Day gift for his fiancé.” Izzy retweeted that photo with a caption of his own. He wrote, “Happy Valentine’s day. It’s the thought that counts xo.” Currently, there has not been any response recorded from Jonny Bones as of now.

The Stylebender is coming off an impressive win against Robert Whittaker at UFC 271. In the press conference afterwards, he expressed his wish to fight at light-heavyweight once again. Will that eventually lead to a fight against Jones? Adesanya tried to capture the 205lbs championship after Jon’s relinquishment.
Although he was not successful, Adesanya has left the door open for a future run in the division. Will the Kiwi eventually run into arguably the greatest fighter of all time? Or will Jones decide to put a move at heavyweight on hold and fight the 185lbs champion? Only time will tell.
