Max Holloway is about to take on Alexander Volkanovski at UFC 276 this weekend. After losing his belt to Alex in 2019 at UFC 245, Max has been on the hunt to regain his belt. After failing to do so at UFC 251, Max will try for the second time at the upcoming international fight week PPV event. However, there has been a massive development in his personal life this time around.
On April 16th of this year, the former UFC champion tied the knot with his long-time fiance Alessa Quizon. During the countdown show for UFC 276, Blessed spoke about his marriage during the sit-down interview and stated that their wedding was the first big-scale wedding event in Hawaii.

The pair got together in February of 2020. Alessa, who is a surfer by profession, got engaged to the fighter in November of that year. After almost two years, they finally got married on a beach in Hawaii with a beautiful backdrop of the ocean. Talking about his wedding, Max Holloway stated,
“Our wedding, it was amazing. It was the big wedding since Hawaii opened up. So we had 400 people there. Being there, seeing my family, my friends, it was a blessing.”
“It was a match made in heaven you know, two pro athletes from the same town, making it and she understands the things we gotta do for our work.”
Can Max Holloway finally regain his UFC Featherweight Championship?
Max Holloway will perhaps have the last opportunity to fight for the 145lbs belt at UFC 276. He has already fought for the belt against Volkanovski twice. Although the bouts were really close, the result ultimately went against Holloway. Hence, the trilogy may just be the final time the fans see Holloway in the featherweight title picture. As a result, the trilogy is going to be the most important fight of his life.

But the task of beating Alexander ‘The Great’ Volkanovski will not be an easy one. Since his bout against Max at UFC 251, he has grown significantly and become an even better fighter. Alex has gone toe to toe with Brain Ortega and The Korean Zombie and passed the tests with flying colours. From his striking to his grappling, the Aussie is operating on a completely different level from the rest of the division.
Can Max Holloway finally get the job done against the champion? Or will Alexander Volkanovski will once again edge out the 30-year-old and win the trilogy to go up 3-0? Let us know your thoughts on the fight in the comments down below.
