Joe Rogan has recently expressed his disgust at the political outrage received by the Barbie movie starring Margot Robbie. On his Joe Rogan Experience podcast, the host invited popstar Post Malone for episode #2018. The conversation between the two men shifted to how the Barbie movie was receiving political backlash with people claiming it was anti-men. Rogan, on the other hand, emphasized the point that it was just a movie about dolls.
He said, “A lot of people are upset about the Barbie movie, and I left perplexed.” He described the movie as a “fun, silly movie about dolls who come to life.”
Conservative figures all over the internet have branded the Barbie movie as anti-men. They have been outraged at the film’s portrayal of men. However, Rogan had a simple solution: to watch the doll movie as just a doll movie.
“People are upset that it’s this progressive metaphor for life that they’re pushing progressive politics in this, and I’m like, ‘It’s a fu**ing doll movie!’ It’s a doll movie. It’s a fun movie about dolls who come to life and try to interact with the real world,” he argued.
“No one’s ever done a movie like this before. This is not like anything else you could say. It was a bizarre movie, but it was a fun, silly movie, I laughed.”

“It’s a fucking doll movie … it was a fun, silly movie, I laughed … How did people get outraged at that? I know some people personally who said it’s anti-men. I’m like, ‘No, it’s making fun of dorks'” pic.twitter.com/LfJxbOxCN7

Rogan claimed that the movie just portrays how the dolls have been treated in reality: “They think it’s a super woke movie,” he said. “But it’s also a movie about how Barbies are the dolls that everyone cares about, and Ken is just a fu**ing accessory, which is real.”
The UFC commentator even argued that people who are hating on the movie are not even the target audience. He jokingly said, “Why would you go see AC/DC if you hate AC/DC? If you’re into classical music?”
Joe Rogan was even disturbed by the fact that people were getting offended on behalf of the men in the movie thinking they represented men as a group.
Many famed internet personalities disagree with Joe Rogan’s take on the Barbie movie
Apart from the politicians, many controversial internet personalities had their anti-men take on the movie. Those people included political commentator Ben Shapiro, Tesla CEO Elon Musk, and Andrew Tate.
After the release of the movie, Shapiro posted on X how his producers forced him to watch the movie. Later, he released a video on YouTube titled, ‘Ben Shapiro DESTROYS The Barbie Movie For 43 Minutes’. The video started with Shapiro tossing Ken and Barbie dolls into a trash can and lighting them on fire.
He said, “Well, folks, wasting two hours of my precious time, two hours I will never get back, two hours around my deathbed I will wish that I had not spent that time doing. It makes me viscerally angry.” Shapiro even scoffed at its claim that the real world exists under patriarchy.
Tate, on the other hand, shared his take on world leaders such as Rishi Sunak and Justin Trudeau watching Barbie.
He posted on X, “I have never seen western world leaders speak about going to the movies before. However, the satanists demand that you publicly sacrifice any remnant of masculinity to the homosexual mafia. The overlords want your soul. They also want you to tell the world that they own you.”

Musk also joined the band when he posted about the movie on X. He mocked the use of the word ‘patriarchy’. He posted, “If you take a shot every time Barbie says the word ‘patriarchy’, you will pass out before the movie ends.”

It has been over two weeks since the Barbie movie was released. It has generated over $1 billion in global box office ticket sales. The political outrage has not diminished director Greta Gerwig’s spirit.
