One of the most exciting topics to discuss in the MMA community is the GOAT debate. Some believe Khabib Nurmagomedov lays claim to that crown. But the fans of Georges St-Pierre might disagree with that notion. And then there is Jon Jones, who has a resume equally that dwarfs the MMA career of Khabib Nurmagomedov.
However, can Jon Jones be called the Greatest of all time? Though Jones has ruled the UFC light heavyweight division for over a decade his title run is full of a lot of controversies. Jones has failed drug tests multiple times and that does raise a question surrounding the greatness of the former light heavyweight king.
And it seems Khabib Nurmagomedov is not convinced that Jon Jones, despite all his achievements in UFC, deserves to be called to GOAT. In a recent post on Twitter, Khabib Nurmagomedov replied to a fan claiming Jon Jones is the GOAT.

Khabib Nurmagomedov, Jon Jones, or GSP, who is the GOAT?
The GOAT debate is faulty, to begin with as there are no parameters et for the comparisons of these UFC elites. Are we looking at how dominant a fighter was in his MMA career? Or GSP winning two UFC titles will have more value than Jones’ prolonged title run. Are we looking at the skillsets shown in the octagon in which case Demetrious Johnson certainly becomes a top contender to be named as the GOAT?
Though it is difficult to settle the GOAT debate, it can be said that Jon Jones is ahead of the other UFC elites in this since he is still competing. And if he has a successful heavyweight run and beats the greatest heavyweight of all time, Stipe Miocic then he might go down as the greatest MMA fighter to ever compete in UFC.
