Speaking about his fight purse for UFC 285 and if Dana White was paying him more, this is what Jones had to say about it. “Oh yes, he sure did,” Jones said. “I had eight fights left on my contract, I just wasn’t happy with my percentages. We just bumped up the pay and pretty much picked up where we left off with my commitment to the UFC. Hopefully, I can get through all eight fights, that’s a lot of fighting at 35 years old. We’ll see.”
Jones still has eight fights left in his contract, and it’s unlikely he will fulfill his contract. However, he has already decided who is next after Ciryl Gane.

Jon Jones is widely regarded as the greatest mixed martial artist of all time. It’s safe to say, a win over Ciryl Gane will not only make him the undisputed heavyweight champion of the world but will plummet him to the undisputed status of MMA GOAT.
How he performs as a heavyweight and a hiatus of more than two years? Only time will tell. Jones feels not much has changed in his heavyweight physique compared to how he looked at light-heavyweight, and while his shoulders might be broader, “I think when the fans see me, they’ll be surprised that I still look a lot like I used to.”
