Renato “Money” Moicano has only gained more fans ever since his explosive post-fight press conference back at UFC 281. Since then, Moicano has only competed once inside the cage. His last fight came against Drew Dober at the UFC Fight Night event earlier this month. Now, Moicano is ready for his next opponent.
Responding to Dan Hooker’s recent callout, Money Moicano accepted the challenge as he sent a message to his fans on his X (previously Twitter).
“June International Fight Week!!! Money vs Hooker…. Las Vegas !!! Homie wants the smoke !!!! Osss”– The UFC lightweight tweeted.

UFC announced that International Fight Week will lead up to UFC 303, set to take place in Las Vegas. Remember that McGregor poised International Fight Week on June 29 as his return date this new year when he called out Michael Chandler for a super-fight at the 185lbs division.
Dan Hooker vs Renato Moicano at UFC International Fight Week
Recently, Dan Hooker mentioned Renato Moicano as one of the two possible opponents he is targeting for his UFC return. He subtly took a dig at Moicano’s fighting style and did not look too impressed from the Brazilian fighter’s last outing against Drew Dober earlier this month. Along with Moicano, Hangman also expressed his interest in fighting Rafael Fiziev.
“He’s made a fan of me, not from his fights. Lying on top of Drew Dober for three rounds doesn’t get me as a fan. But the post-fight interview wasn’t bad; that’s all I am saying.” He said.
Dan Hooker was last seen against Jalin Turner, where he won via split decision. The victory marked his second straight win since the loss to Arnold Allen in his move to the featherweight division. Hooker’s last loss in the lightweight division was against current lightweight champion Islam Makhachev.
What do you think about the match-up, and should it be on the UFC 303 card?
