Irish megastar Conor McGregor is officially on the journey to his grand UFC return after the first episode of TUF 31 aired on May 30. ‘The Notorious‘ features opposite ‘Iron’ Michael Chandler in a coaching role in the show’s newest season. The premiere episode did not disappoint as fans got to witness the two future opponents interact with one another.
The show’s first episode laid the foundation for the future ones. UFC president Dana White guided the two coaches in drafting their respective teams. By the end, the Dublin native attained all the prospects while Michael went with the veterans.
Toward the conclusion of the episode, viewers got a preview of what they can expect in the coming weeks. In one such segment, fans caught a wholesome moment between the Irish star and a young kid. The now-viral interaction between the two has won several hearts already on the internet.

According to the clip, the 34-year-old seems willing to buy action figures of himself from the said kid who presumably owns it. Conor tells him that he’d take them and the young one readily agrees. In the wholesome exchange, Conor appears to be paying around $1200 to the boy, who seems stunned upon receiving it.
Before McGregor is met with a response, the UFC star has already pulled out a bundle of cash before handing some of it to the kid. Conor says, “I’ll take these all off you, man, yeah? I’ll take these off you, kid. Just 12 ton, yeah? 12 ton, my man.”
While the exact amount that McGregor pays the kid is unclear, he does mention “12 ton,” and “ton” is slang for a hundred in British. This clip doesn’t have any context in the episode and the kid’s identity was never revealed. However, it appeared toward the end of the episode and could possibly be a preview of the next episode of the show.
Fans react to Conor McGregor buying action figures from a young kid
This segment was one of the many scenes that the latest season of the show has in store for the fans. While Conor appears to be having fun on the premiere episode, his team didn’t have a great start. Team Chandler took the lead against Team McGregor through what was one of the fastest KOs in the show’s history.
For now, fans seem to be buzzing about the wholesome interaction that Conor shared with the kid on the show. Needless to say, the MMA community took to social media to express mixed reactions. Some fans seem to believe that Conor should have handed him more money. While others seem more focused on him making that kid’s day.
You made that kids day.
