“Let Him Write What He Wants”- Khabib Nurmagomedov Shuts Down Khamzat Chimaev With a Classy Response

After Khamzat‘s brash statement, The Eagle Khabib Nurmagomedov Addressed his beef with Khamzat Chimaev via an interview. On an Instagram live hosted by Ramzan Kadyrov, Khamzat commented  “we will smash him if he wants so” referring to Khabib. To which Khabib responded, “I have never met him” and played down the beef. 

Why is there a beef between Khabib Nurmagomedov and Khamzat Chimaev?

Recently Ramzan Kadyrov went live on Instagram where he raised questions over Khabib’s matches in UFC. He said “UFC Has its projects and its projects don’t lose. Real champions on the other hand sometimes win sometimes lose”. The Chechnya politician even called out Khabib to fight any of the fighters’ training with him at his gym, Akhmat. This is where Khamzat commented on “we will smash him if he wants so”.

After the incident, Khabib’s squad went into a Twitter banter where Khamzat tweeted with a callback to Lobov and Khabib’s covering incident back in 2018. Which he later deleted.  

What’s surprising is that beef was before fraternal affection. Earlier Khabib has praised Khamzat by saying “He is the real deal”. As mentioned by Abubaker Nurmagomedov(Khabib’s brother) in an Instagram post he questions Khamzat’s hypocritical behavior as he had dinner with them and went to pray together, and called them brother when they were in America.

The Eagle Responds

In an interview when Khabib was asked about the beef and whether he is disappointed by Khamzat’s statements he answered “No, I wasn’t. I never met him. We have spoken on the phone. You are only disappointed in someone when you expect a certain type of response from them. I never expected anything from this person. Let him write what he wants”, which clearly depicts Khabib is not interested in the beef. 

It is obvious that Khamzat follows Kadyrov quite a lot. He has been training in Chechnya after recovering from Covid. And that being said, the Chechens and Dagestanis have a long history of animosity which goes way back. Nevertheless, It would be fascinating to predict where this beef will go but, it has certainly ended for Khabib.
