Mike Perry is one of the most talked-about athletes outside the UFC. The bare-knuckle fighter has enjoyed unreal success after his career with the MMA giants. ‘Platinum’ is currently 3-0 in BKFC and has proven that he is a very skilled and powerful boxer. Apart from his in-ring performance, Perry is also known for his outspoken nature in the outside world.
Recently, he used his social media account to take shots at his former UFC colleague, Sean Strickland. Just like Perry, Strickland is also known for his antics outside the cage. These days Sean has been dropping multiple videos on Ian Garry and his wife, Layla Anna-Lee, while driving his car.

However, Perry decided to troll Strickland by making a parody of the UFC middleweight champion. “What’s up guys, it’s Da Sean Strickland,” said Mike Perry while mimicking Strickland’s voice. Furthermore, ‘Platinum’ Mike went on to criticize Sean for talking badly about people and their personal issues.
“When I’m not being a total bada** in the cage…I’m talking sh*t on social media about other people and their beliefs, and relationships and religion and stuff,” said Perry while parodying the UFC Middleweight Champion.
Mike Perry and Sean Strickland have a history of talking trash about each other. In June 2022, Mike took to social media and called a “N**i” and a “racist motherf***er”. Furthermore, Sean replied with a now-deleted response video on Instagram with the caption, “Lmao!!!! I gotta lot of people to punch but this man (Perry) is on the top of my list“.

Mike Perry was quick to fire back, as he claimed that he was looking forward to a fight. Furthermore, a year later, ‘Platinum’ even challenged ‘Tarzan’ to a bare-knuckle fight.
Mike Perry called Sean Strickland out for a bare-knuckle boxing match
While he had an on-and-off career in the UFC, Mike Perry has solidified himself in the world of BKFC. The bare-knuckle boxer holds victories over the likes of Michael Venom Page, Julian Lane, and UFC legend Luke Rockhold. After his latest victory over Rockhold, he turned his attention to his social media rival, Sean Strickland.
In July 2023, Perry decided to call out Strickland for a bare-knuckle match following his victory over Abus Magomedov at UFC Vegas 76. ‘Platinum’ used social media platform X to call out his rival through a very interesting post.
Me and Sean Strickland should bare knuckle box, show us the money and make it happen @danawhite @bareknucklefc
— Platinum Mike Perry (@PlatinumPerry) July 2, 2023
“Me and Sean Strickland should bare-knuckle box, show us the money, and make it happen @danawhite
@bareknucklefc,” said Mike Perry in his X post. However, UFC CEO Dana White has yet to respond to this request made by Perry. Given the operating style of the UFC, it is highly unlikely that they will allow a cross-promotion matchup.
In the meantime, Mike Perry is set to take on former UFC Lightweight Champion Eddie Alvarez at BKFC 56. The highly anticipated event is set to take place in Salt Lake City, Utah, on December 2, 2023. However, let us know in the comments what will be the outcome of the fight.
