UFC commentator Joe Rogan has recently talked about the English fighter Paddy Pimblett and his weight issues. Pimblett made his debut in the UFC a couple of years ago and is currently competing in the Lightweight division. He has also been a Cage Warriors Featherweight champion, which he won in 2016. However, Pimblett has struggled for long with his constant weight loss and weight gain cycle.
During an episode of The Joe Rogan Experience, a podcast that Rogan hosts, the 56-year-old mocked Paddy Pimblett. Rogan said, “Paddy Pimblett, that motherf**er gets fat quick.” He further joked about how Paddy goes from looking shredded to having a protruding belly in a matter of just a few days. Pimblett has admitted in the past that he isn’t careful with his diet when he isn’t preparing for a fight.
Also known as ‘Paddy the Baddy,‘ some of his favorite food preferences include steak, burgers, Chinese food, and so on. He also admitted that his craving for deserts got so bad at one time that he had four deserts in a row and still felt hungry. However, Pimblett doesn’t pay much heed to the criticisms he has received for his weight and dietary issues.

He said, “It goes in one ear, and out the other they can all f*** off.” He stated that he doesn’t care what others have to say about him since he’s the one who is putting his body on the line and fighting in the cage. Currently, Paddy Pimblett is all set to take on Tony Ferguson at UFC 296 at the T-Mobile Arena in Las Vegas tonight.
Paddy Pimblett reveals how he loses weight before fights
Meanwhile, Paddy Pimblett has finally opened up about how he loses his weight before fights. Pimblett revealed that when he doesn’t have a fight coming up, his walk-around weight is around 196 pounds. However, Pimblett does fight in the Lightweight category, which is 155 pounds. During an interview with SLOT BOXX, Pimblett talked about the trick he uses to lose weight.
He said, “There’s no rocket science to it, it’s not hard. Get yourself in a calorie deficit.” He further revealed that the reason he becomes overweight is because he goes from consuming just 1500 calories when’s he training to consuming 8000 calories in a day when he’s not. However, Pimblett has admitted that he’s trying to restrict himself from gaining weight exceedingly during his off-season.
