As we have seen countless times before, Twitter has become the home ground for drama. More often than not, it is usually the same few suspects stirring trouble again. Thus, we once again have the notorious UFC veteran Jake Shields in the middle of yet another drama.
Recently, Shields’ infuriation with trans athletes reached a new level. As such, he issued an open call out to take on 10 trans athletes on the same night. Moreover, Jake pushed the issue even further as he taunted transgender MMA fighters. Eventually, trans wrestler and athlete, Mack R.K. Beggs accepted Jake’s offer and issued a call-out of his own.

I’ll fight this guy, Mike Jackosn and 10 trans men all in the same night

However, amidst all the chaos, Shields actually mixed up Beggs with another trans fighter, Alana McLaughlin. Thus, instead of replying to Beggs, Shields tweeted out a picture of McLaughlin stating, “This dude blocked me so someone tell him I accept his offer”. Further, Jake added in the comments, “I’ll fight this guy, Mike Jackosn (Jackson) and 10 trans men all in the same night”.
Whilst the matter was initially centered around Jake and other trans-MMA athletes, he also reignited his feud with Mike Jackson. For those unaware, Shields had a physical altercation with Mike Jackson at a UFC PI after the latter called the UFC veteran a ‘Nazi’. As such, the two decided to have a confrontation, which did not end well for Jackson.
How did Jake Shields’ feud with trans-MMA athletes begin?
Previously, Shields went on a rather absurd rant on Twitter. For the most part, he has been very vocal in his protest against trans-athletes competing with non-trans athletes. As such, Shields also trolled a former man, who now competes as a trans-athlete in the women’s category.
However, things turned rather weird after Jake stated, in a series of now-deleted tweets, that people that help trans people, should be executed. Whilst the tweets were removed by Twitter, people were able to keep screenshots of them. In one of them, Shields wrote the following, “Would you support public executions of anyone who helps a child transition? This would include doctors, therapists, teachers, guidance counselors, etc.”
Drop to 145 and go on puberty blockers for six months and I’d be glad to. Sorry, but I’m not taking steroids to be a lay-and-pray fighter. https://t.co/tkDIi6hDA8

if Jake wanted to get sweaty and roll around on the floor with me, he should have tried not being a racist, transphobic, fascist fuck-knuckle and just asked me on a date.

Shields, who has also been involved in the recent Jordan Neely drama, has been arguing with numerous trans-MMA athletes. Interestingly, “The Lady Feral” has since hit back with some terms and conditions of her own. Thus, the 1-0 pro fighter responded, “Drop to 145 and go on puberty blockers for six months and I’d be glad to. Sorry, but I’m not taking steroids to be a lay-and-pray fighter”.
Whilst it is highly unlikely that a fight between Shields and Beggs or McLaughlin will occur, many are interested to see how it would turn out. However, it needs to be said that some of the statements made by Shields caught many off-guard, including controversial social media influencer, Tristan Tate. With both parties setting their terms and conditions, it will be intriguing to see how that matter develops.
