The rivalry between Conor McGregor and Nate Diaz will go down as arguably one of the greatest rivalries in the world of mixed martial arts. The UFC stalwarts shared the UFC Octagon on two occasions, and are currently 1-1. Needless to say, a trilogy fight is expected and it looks like we could finally get one if Diaz’s manager is to be believed.
Earlier this week, Nate Diaz found himself a free man after he was released from his UFC contract following his “retirement” fight against Tony Ferguson back at UFC 279. The Stockton Slugger has since then teased a move to the boxing ring. Diaz’s Manager also confirmed that we could see Diaz compete as many as three times in 2023.

Much to the surprise of fans, he also added that Diaz is interested to finish his trilogy fight with Conor McGregor and we couldn’t have been more excited. The duo last shared the cage back in 2016, and they have been paired opposite each other on numerous occasions since then. However, a trilogy fight still eludes fight fans.
“Nate is going to be looking at the biggest fights possible. He has stated that completing the trilogy with Conor McGregor is something that interests him, and that has not changed.” Diaz’s manager Zach Rosenfield said.
One wonders if it was to do with fighting under the UFC promotion. There’s a reason to believe that Diaz and McGregor will share the cage outside of the UFC but these are mere speculations.
Nate Diaz’s next fight will be against a “novice YouTuber”, claims Jake Paul
Recently, Jake Paul chimed in on Diaz’s future outside the UFC and even claimed that the Stockton Slugger is possibly fighting a “novice YouTuber” in his return to combat sports after UFC 279.
While he did not provide any details, Paul accused Diaz of ducking him after repeatedly calling him out for a boxing bout.
“You will see Nate competing multiple times in 2023, and that will include boxing.” Zach Rosenfield said.
Jake called out Nate Diaz following his spectacular decision win over Anderson Silva. However, the former UFC title challenger has shown no interest in a possible match-up with the YouTuber turned professional boxer. Be that as it may, it looks like a step inside the boxing ring looks imminent.
