Can Jon Jones become the UFC heavyweight champion?
As mentioned earlier, Jon Jones is considered to be the greatest fighter of all time. Having seen unprecedented success in the light-heavyweight division, ‘Bones’ will look to replicate his success in the heavyweight division as well and with the fighting acumen he has, it doesn’t seem that far-fetched.
Moreover, Jon Jones’ credibility in the company is set to get him a title shot soon as well. It is worth noting that if he ends up facing Francis Ngannou in his debut fight, it will be for the championship. Moreover, he can pave his way to the title shot if he ends up fighting and beating Stipe Miocic upon his entry to the heavyweight division.
So, it is safe to say that getting a title shot won’t be an issue for Jon Jones. What remains to be seen is whether he can get his hands on the UFC heavyweight title or not.
