Mayra Bueno Silva registered a phenomenal victory at UFC Vegas 77 against the former bantamweight champion Holly Holm. Silva won one of the biggest fights of her career when she defeated Holm by submission in the second round itself.
Silva started in a slow and composed manner and was waiting for Holm to get in a favorable position for her. However, it did not take long for ‘Sheetara’ to trap her opponent in a standing guillotine to register a second round finish. Fight fans were amazed by this nasty choke which is also known as a ‘Ninja Choke’.
Mayra Bueno Silva called out Julianna Pena after the fight demanding a fight with her for the vacant bantamweight title. The former UFC champion Pena took no time to respond to that and tweeted that she was ready to thrash both Silva and Raquel Pennington.
Did I hear someone say the name of the #peopleschamp? Perfect. Get in line. I’ll do you and Raquel in the same night. Who else wants a beating ?

‘Rowdy’ left UFC in 2016 and still her record for most submissions in the women’s bantamweight division was untouched until UFC Vegas 77 when Silva got her third submission win and equaled the record.
A bantamweight title match between Silva and Julianna Pena makes sense now but we will have to wait to see what the promotion has in mind.
