Conor McGregor has already made a ton of records when it comes to the world of UFC. But the UFC superstar is now stepping up his game by venturing into new endeavors. The fighter will now be starring alongside Jake Gyllenhaal in the remake of the 90’s cult classic movie Road House.
Perri Nemiroff from Collider recently interviewed the popular Portuguese actress Daniela Melchoir, She is also playing a role in Conor’s movie Road House. In the interview, Melchoir talked about how Conor was during the shoots and his attitude regarding the movie.

“He was so excited,” said Melchoir, “It was so fun to see a fully grown man doing something for the first time, and he really looked like a young kid doing something for the first time.” The actress also added that the former UFC featherweight champ possessed a very impressive work ethic. “It was amazing to watch how he took on his debut role and did so in such a fun and humble way.”
Melchoir is a popular face of Hollywood and has starred in many movies, some of which even belong to the multi-million club, like Guardians of Galaxy: Vol 3, Fast X, as well as The Suicide Squad.
The fans of the UFC world have been eagerly waiting for the release of the film, since Jake Gyllenhall featured in the UFC 285, as a part of the promotion of their upcoming movie. While the release dates of the movie are still under wraps, according to sources. it will be released in 2023.
An insight into the reel life of Conor McGregor through his documentaries
Before completely committing himself to a whole movie, Conor has tested the waters beforehand by featuring in his documentaries. The Irish fighter holds the executive production rights for two of his documentaries “McGregor Forever” and “Conor McGregor: The Notorious.”
McGregor Forever is available to stream on Netflix. The show has only released its initial season in 2023. Whereas ‘Conor McGregor: The Notorious’, released in 2017, is an hour-and-a-half-long movie, which is available to stream across various platforms.
Along with his documentaries, McGregor has starred in various shows like The Tonight Show with Jimmy Falon, Jimmy Kimmel Live, as well as the Jonathan Ross Show. So it is safe to say that the former featherweight and lightweight champion is no stranger to being in front of the cameras.
Although the information regarding his upcoming movie is yet kept confidential, it is confirmed that the main plot will stay close to the original 1989 Road House. According to the rumors, Jake Gyllenhaal is to play the part of former UFC fighter, James Dalton.
