Hooker, a former King in the Ring Middleweight Kickboxing Champion, is currently fighting in the UFC in the lightweight division. However, Hooker has landed in deep waters after a video of him choking a radio host went viral on social media platforms.
During an appearance on the radio show The Morning Rumble, Dan Hooker showed off his MMA skills with Mitch Farr, one of the producers of the show. Obviously, Farr proved to be no match for Hooker, as he was immediately forced to tap out. However, Dan, who demonstrated the triangle choke on Farr, didn’t appear to notice Farr tapping.

Whether Hooker didn’t notice Farr tapping or deliberately ignored it, he continued with his move. It was not until a while that the New Zealand-born fighter finally let go of his choke on Farr. The incident, however, has gone viral, and several fans have rebuked Hooker’s actions. One fan wrote, “Dude did not respect the tap,” while a second wrote, “suggestion taps“.
There were also comments like, “What a hero, choking out a civilian and ignoring the tap.” A fourth one commented, “Sh*t move by the loser hooker.” Fortunately, Mitch Farr didn’t look much worse following his brief fight with Dan Hooker. After taking a moment or two to grab his breath, Farr acknowledged that he was doing alright.
Dan Hooker’s arm looks freakish after undergoing arm surgery
Meanwhile, Dan Hooker had to recently undergo surgery to get his arm injury treated. Hooker, who was set to face Bobby Green at UFC Austin, had to withdraw from the fight. According to the 33-year-old fighter, the injury occurred during a sparring session. He further revealed that the blow he suffered was in the same place as his previous injury, which had led to his bones not properly fusing.
Following his surgery, ‘The Hangman’ took to his social media platforms to reveal the condition of his arm. However, Dan Hooker’s arm looked rather horrific and also created concern among his supporters. Hooker had uncovered his arm out of splint protection too early. While ‘The Hangman’ is currently recovering, the fans hope that he doesn’t aggravate his injury by coming out of recovery before time.
