Conor McGregor is set to make his small screen return with The Ultimate Fighter 31. Following Conor’s TUF 22 stint, this is the first time he will coach in a TUF season after nearly 8 years. So fans are excited to see what the show has in store for them. However, if some recent reports are any indication, there will be a lot of drama for the fans to look forward to.
Even before the filming started, fans saw Gilbert Burns slamming Conor for apparently kicking out one of his sparring mates. Although Conor initially denied it, UFC President Dana White later confirmed some of the accusations. Aside from that, there were no reports of any animosity behind the scenes between the two coaches. But, that changed recently!
Recently, fans saw both McGregor and Chandler attend UFC 285 inside the T-Mobile Arena. While Conor was sitting with his upcoming Hollywood movie, “Road House” co-star, Jake Gyllenhaal, Chandler was seen with Islam Makhachev. But the tension was palpable between “The Notorious One” and “Iron Mike.”
Even Dana White hinted that something went down inside the TUF house. Although he did not share the details, there are some rumors surrounding the incident. Recently, MMA journalist Amy Kaplan has shed some light on the matter.
Conor McGregor and Michael Chandler got into a brawl during TUF 31 filming
Amy Kaplan, who is a renowned MMA photographer and journalist, has a scoop on the incident. According to her, Michael and Conor were involved in a brawl inside the TUF house. She recently put out a tweet and added that the former UFC double champ apparently jumped into the Octagon after someone got KO’ed and things went out of hand. Apparently, someone was slapped during the scuffle as well!
Here's what I learned about the McGregor/Chandler "incident" that Dana was alluding to on Sat. Apparently, someone was KO'd and McGregor jumped in the cage, shoved Chandler, someone got slapped and the teams rushed the cage. NSAC broke it up. Video interviews coming soon #TUF31

It looks like there will be further interviews which may give the fans a bit more details before the show’s premiere. Fans are aware that Conor tends to lose his cool as the coach. During TUF 22, fans saw him showing some tough love to his fighters. He even jumped into a Bellator cage after his teammate Charlie Ward won at Bellator 187. It led to him having an ugly confrontation with the ref present in the cage, Marc Goddard.
So it will be interesting to see exactly why Conor jumped into the cage this time around. TUF 31 is currently filming and it is set to premiere in May and will run till August. The show will be available on both the ESPN network and ESPN+. There is no doubt that the confrontation will play a big part in the upcoming fight between Conor and Chandler too.
