Nate Diaz organized a party at Gila river in Glendale, Arizona after his fight as promised. However, his fight against Leon Edwards didn’t go his way. But, the Stockton slugger made sure that his fans were happy after UFC 263.
Many pictures and videos from the party were sailing out on social media. The party was certainly fun for the fans but things got a little too wild on that night. Jake Shields, one of Nate’s closest allies, confessed that cops visited their after-fight party.
Jake Shields is a former EliteXC welterweight champion and Strikeforce middleweight champion who made his MMA debut in 1999. Recently Shields did a podcast with The Schmo and upon being asked about the after-party, Jake said:
“The Afterparty was crazy, the cops came and broke it up. But, they still let a lot of us come there. It got a little too out of control so cops let some of the people leave but they let a lot of people stay… The cops are kinda cool. They stayed there all night to make sure it didn’t get too out of control. But, they were letting us party… didn’t get too nuts…They blocked the street to make sure things didn’t get too crazy “
Nate invited his fans to his party during the post-fight interview with Joe Rogan. As expected his fans showed up in a large number at his house. Even though cops came they didn’t stop the party but they rather controlled it.
What’s next for Nate Diaz?
After the fight at UFC 263, Nate is going to take a break of 3-4 months. He mentioned in a press conference that he needs a little time and then he will see how things go from there.
