Bobby Green has some serious accusations about UFC lightweight champion Islam Makhachev. Green is coming out of a six-month USADA suspension after he tested positive for a banned substance.
While discussing the details of how he got busted after his carelessness with the drug, Green started talking about Makhachev and accused the Russian fighter might’ve been on steroids for a long time. In a recent interview, Green said “I was fuc**ing around on my YouTube right? And I found this little video and it said Islam had a little trouble with drugs. But I don’t see people talking about him.”
“…his school that he trained at in Russia, they just gave him vitamins. They’ve been doing this since who knows when, when you start training. Imagine if you gave someone steroids from the age of ten, twelve, thirteen, fourteen, fifteen. How strong you’d be?”
Makhachev is known for being a dominant wrestler and his performance against Charles Oliveira at UFC 280 was testimony to his incredible fight game. However, Green believes that the extraordinary power of Makhachev is not natural.

Green fought Makhachev in February earlier this year on short notice and was defeated by TKO in the 1st round. According to Green, the Russian fighters are being provided with drugs from a very young age. This is to make them appear strong and give them almost superhuman powers.
Green also added the use of banned drugs is very common in Russia, unlike America. Russia has had some problems with doping which resulted in its ban from the Olympics. Moreover, the athletes were stripped of 46 Olympic medals.
Bobby Green opens up about his USADA suspension
Bobby Green was suspended by the USADA after testing positive for a banned steroid. The USADA stated that the result of an out-of-competition urine sample taken on May 16 caused Green’s suspension.
As a result, he was pulled out of a fight with Jim Miller at UFC 276. However, Green blamed this on an over-the-counter supplement. He also stated that he started taking DHEA as a dietary supplement because of a YouTube video by Dr. Eric Berg.
According to Green, DHEA is available in the vitamin section at Walmart and it is legally sold as a dietary supplement in any retail store. However, Green had no idea that it was banned by the USADA.
‘King’ has always talked against drug use and his suspension came as a shock to many. Green purchased DHEA from Walmart and started taking it to clear his lungs and arteries as he smokes weed a lot. However, this decision would cause his suspension.
