Israel Adesanya’s new found rivalry with former Middleweight Champion Chris Weidman seems to have taken an ugly turn as the former Champion called Israel Adesanya “two-faced” after the Middleweight Champion declined to fight Chris Weidman and sent a soaring response in return. Soon after his win over Paulo Costa, Chris Weidman expressed his desire to face Adesanya and claimed that he has what it takes to beat the undisputed Middleweight Champion.
Weidman has been always good against strikers having less wrestling. He defeated Uriah hall who's as technical as Izzy, defeated Silva twice, and beat Vitor Belfort. @chrisweidman vs @stylebender makes sense.

Earlier, Weidman put put a tweet where he compared his performance against Adesanya’s mutual opponents, and stated that he was able to pick up comfortable victories over them, while Adesanya had to struggle to get the victory.

Heyyy I just realized I have 2 common opponents with Adesanya…Gastelum who I finished. Then Silva who I finished twice. Adesanya squeaked by decisions on both of those guys.. Adesanya is just another Silva without the black belt in Jitsu. Easy đź’´

Chris Weidman also brought out Adesanya’s lack of experience on the ground and called him “another Silva without the black belt in Jitsu.” While a lot of criticism has swept Adesanya’s way regarding his abilities on the ground, no fighter has been able to do enough to hand him his first loss, as Adesanya continues to remain undefeated and the undisputed Champion of the Middleweight division.

Israel Adesanya hits back at Chris Weidman
Israel Adesanya did not keep quite at Weidman’s statements on Twitter and sent out a soaring response in return. Adesanya took to Twitter and stated that he has already figured out the former Champion and is steps ahead of him. Adesanya added that he would be able to avoid his take-downs, and posted an old clip to prove his supposed point. Christ Weidman hit back with insights from their personal interaction and claimed that Adesanya is “two-faced as hell.”
You were very nice to my face that night to be talking like that on your phone. Two faced as hell! I would grab your weak ass and crush you! YOU remember our interactions that night and YOU know this is a problem you don’t want https://t.co/oBy2YE5iF0

Israel Adesanya shocked the world as he picked up a stoppage victory over the undefeated Paulo Costa this past weekend at UFC 253. Against all the criticism and coming off a lackluster performance against Yoel Romero, Adesanya had a lot to prove going into this fight against the undefeated Brazilian fighter. However, Adesanya triumphed over all the adversities as he put up an absolute clinic to win the fight.
