This might have been the final time we saw Daniel Cormier compete in the octagon. After the loss to Stipe Miocic, Daniel Cormier stated that “This will be it for me”.
However, he did leave the door open if UFC offers him another title fight. Apart from the war between Stipe Miocic and Daniel Cormier, UFC 252 featured a heavyweight showdown between Junior Dos Santos and Jairzinhio Rozenstruik, a bantamweight showdown between Sean O Malley and Marlon Vera. The fight purse for the athletes involved in the PPV was revealed following UFC 252.
Stipe Miocic wins big at UFC 252
As per reports from the sportsdaily, Stipe Miocic earned a fight purse of $790k ($750k to show, $40k fight week incentive pay) and Daniel Cormier earned $530k ($500k to show and $30k fight week incentive pay).
The former champion, Junior Dos Santos earned a fight purse of $520k. Jairzinhio Rozenstruik earned himself a $165k fight purse for the win over JDS.
The co-main event winner, Marlon vera earned $140k( $65k to show, $65k win bonus, $10k fight week incentive). Sean O Malley earned a fight purse of $49k ($45k to show, $4k fight week incentive pay).
After the victory over Herbert Burns, Daniel Pineda earned a fight purse of $77.8k including $2.8k fine from Herbert Burns for botched weight cut. Herbert Burns got a fight purse of $14.7k after the loss to Daniel Pineda.
After the loss to Merab Dvalishvili, John Dodson went home with a purse of $61,000 ($46,000 to show, $15,000 fight week incentive pay). Merab Dvalishvili got a fight purse of $55,000 ($25,000 to show, $25,000 win bonus, $5,000 fight week incentive pay).
