Jon ‘Bones’ Jones, arguably the greatest Mixed Martial Arts (MMA) fighter of all time, is finally making his return to the Octagon after a 3 year long hiatus. After running through the UFC Light Heavyweight division’s who’s who, Jones wants bigger names on his resume. He is now set to make his heavyweight debut against the Frenchman and no. 1 contender Ciryl ‘Bon Gamin’ Gane for the vacant Heavyweight title at UFC 285.
While Jones might not be a household name like Conor McGregor or Ronda Rousey, his resume comprises nothing but UFC legends and Hall of Famers. As per our previous report, he might possibly be the 2nd highest paid fighter on the UFC roster at the moment, right after McGregor.
Ciryl Gane, who last headlined UFC’s inaugural event in Paris against Tai Tuivasa in the September of 2022, made a huge chunk. As per reports, the Frenchman earned a whopping $3.1 million after he put on a striking display in front of his home crowd, eventually finishing his opponent in round 3.
Bones, on the other hand, won a controversial decision against Dominic Reyes at UFC 247. And as per calculations based on his purse info prior to this, Jon may have earned north of half a million dollars, and that doesn’t even include the PPV share.
However, let’s not forget that Jon has recently signed a new 8-fight deal with the UFC, having former Golden Boy Promotions CEO Richard Schaefer on his side as his new ‘fight career advisor’. This move has helped Jon tremendously while negotiating a new contract with the organization.

Thus, if the above-mentioned information is anything to go by, both Ciryl Gane & Jon Jones will be loading up their purses more now than they ever have, with Jon cashing as much as $10 million including sponsorship and PPV shares while Gane possibly going on to make anywhere between $2 to $3 million.
Jon Jones’ total UFC earnings
Due to UFC 239 and 247 salaries being undisclosed, we have predicted a figure of 6,745,000 as the total number of PPV buys that Jon is responsible for, in the 14 title fights he’s had so far in the company. After all, he happens to be the youngest and also the longest-reigning Light Heavyweight champion in the UFC’s history.

Part 1:
UFC 247 – numbers never released. Prelim numbers and Google searches indicated promising activity. But it’s unlikely sources would hide numbers if the event had sold well.

Considering that Jon gets a cut from every single PPV that he has sold as a title holder, It is safe to say that he is comfortably sitting upon millions of dollars in his Albuquerque home, just from his fighting career alone. On top of this, if we were to count his sponsorship money, those numbers would be soaring.
