UFC Vegas 43 will go down this weekend, November 20 at UFC APEX Las Vegas, Nevada. The main card is stacked with interesting match-ups and the main event fight is the much-awaited women’s Bantamweight bout between Ketlen Vieira and Miesha Tate. While there are a lot of speculations regarding this bout, here’s the breakdown and prediction of the fight.
Tate(19-7) made her UFC return after five long years with a victory over Marion Reneau at UFC on ESPN: Makhachev vs. Moisés earlier this year. Before that, she last fought in the UFC in the year 2016 and suffered two consecutive losses. She is currently holding the #8 position in the women’s bantamweight rankings, and a win against Vieira will get her closer to the title shot.
Vieira(11-2) is the younger fighter in the bout with less experience in the promotion. The Brazilian has only two wins in her last four Octagon appearances. Vieira fought Yana Kunitskaya at UFC Fight Night: Blaydes vs. Lewis earlier this year. Unfortunately, the fighter lost the bout via unanimous decision. Defeating a UFC veteran like Tate will surely open up great opportunities in her future.

Ketlen Vieira vs Miesha Tate prediction and fight Analysis:
Tate is one of the biggest women athletes that the UFC has produced. Coming back after 5 years of retirement, she still looks in great shape with exceptional athletic abilities. Tate has great experience in big fights and has the capacity to maintain composure against good opponents. The striking game of the former champion is top-notch and he has the ability to land accurate and powerful punches. Tate will be looking to dominate the fight from the start by outranking Vieira in terms of volume of lands. Tate also has the ability to land effective kicks to the head and body, which may not knockout opponents but still damage them.
Vieira on the other hand, relies on her wrestling a lot. The fighter has a background in Brazilian jiu-jitsu and judo. For Vieira, taking the fight to the ground will be the first priority, and then trying to get a submission while grappling. It will be efficient if she manages to take down Tate in the first two rounds and get over her and control from the top.
One of the major problems of Vieira is her cardio and questionable chin. And a fighter like Tate can easily exploit them.
