UFC Vegas 49 is just a few hours away and it has some amazing match-ups scheduled to put up a staggering show. With Islam Makhachev facing Bobby Green in the main event, it will attract fans’ eyes. However, apart from that, another interesting women’s flyweight fight is between Ji Yeon Kim and Priscilla Cachoeira in the main card.
Ji Yeon Kim is coming off two losses to this fight and is on the verge of getting cut from the promotion. Right now her record on UFC is below standard as she has lost four of the seven fights she has been part of. A win against Priscilla will help her save her place on the promotion.
Similarly, Priscilla is also coming off a loss against Gillian Robertson. Moreover, she has a worse UFC record when compared with Yeon Kim. Losing the first three UFC fights against Valentina Shevchenko, Molly McCann, and Luana Carolina gave her an unwanted start to her UFC career. Be it as it may, she will be desperate for a win against Yeon Kim.

UFC Vegas 49: Ji Yeon Kim vs Priscilla Cachoeira – Fight Breakdown
Both the fighters are aggressive and won’t hesitate to exchange shots. Kim will enjoy a seven-inch advantage against Priscilla. Kim also has a better technique than Cachoeira, who is well known for her power-based style.
Apart from having a better technique, Kim also has a decent grappling sense. It would be interesting to see if she would finally use her grappling skills in a UFC fight.
Kim can use her reach advantage efficiently to defend herself from Cachoeira’s power shots. The fight is likely to be on the feet. Cachoeira should look to get inside Kim’s range in order to strike her with those heavy shots. She needs to exploit Kim’s lack of volume in strikes. Otherwise, Kim would secure a decision win quite easily.
