UFC 262 press conference was one of the most entertaining pressers in recent times and it was all thanks to Tony Ferguson. Nobody was safe from the former interim champion as he took verbal jabs at Michael Chandler, his next opponent Beneil Dariush and even the UFC president, Dana White.
During the press conference, Tony Ferguson called out Michael Chandler for ducking him early in the year. Tony Ferguson vs Michael Chandler was in the works but in the end, Ferguson fought Oliveira at UFC Apex. Ferguson even said that Chandler does not deserve the title shot and the only reason he is fighting for the title is that he is one of the favorite fighters of Dana White. Ferguson stated:
“Hey, you ducked me too Chandler. Every f***g guy out here except for this guy sitting right here next to me. I am gonna be real man. You f****g said No. You got s**t handed to you. You got Dana White privilege.”
This comment from Ferguson left Dana White laughing for a while.

Tony Ferguson puts the lightweight division on notice
Tony Ferguson also made it clear that no matter what he is not giving up on his dreams to become the undisputed UFC lightweight champion. Ferguson stated:
Check this out. Dana was right. Timing is everything. Like I said it was not meant for me to have the title. I would have given everybody a chance. Absolutely not. These guys can try to keep the title away from as much as they can. I am next again. It does not matter.
Tony Ferguson is on a two-fight losing streak now. He is not getting any younger and he has taken some serious damage throughout his career. So getting back on the winning streak against a tough opponent in Beneil Dariush will not be easy for Ferguson.

Besides that, Beneil Dariush is such a nightmare matchup for Tony Ferguson. If there is any fighter who can fight at an insane pace as Ferguson does it has to be Dariush. And considering it’s a 3 round fight, Dariush will certainly be the favorite going into the fight.
