After lackluster prelims on UFC Vegas 21, the main card featured some exciting action-packed fight. The 35 years old UFC bantamweight, Davey Grant took on Jonathan Martinez in the main card of UFC Fight Night: Edwards vs Muhammad.
And what a fight it was! What’s even more shocking is the fact that Davey Grant secured the KO with a broken foot. And the finishing sequence of the fight reminded the fans of the legendary heavyweight boxer Mike Tyson. AT 3 min 03 seconds, A right to the body followed by a left hook got Davey Grant another KO victory.

The first fight was insane with Jonathan Martinez dropping Davey Grant. Martinez clearly won the first round and it seemed he would get the finish in the second or third. However, Davey “Dangerous” Grant did what he does best. He came back after a disastrous first round, threw cautions to the wind, and got the biggest comeback win of the night.
Davey Grant channels his inner Mike Tyson
Both Grant and Martinez were going blow for a blow in the round. However, Grant was landing the bigger shot and controlling the pace of the fight. On the other hand, Martinez was looking to counter every strike from Grant.
The fighters were even on the scorecard in the second round until Davey Grant channeled his inner Mike Tyson to secure an impressive KO win. The combination was so beautiful that even Daniel Cormier compared it to Mike Tyson’s notorious combo.

With this win, Davey Grant now has 12 wins and 4 losses in his MMA career. After a couple of losses in the UFC bantamweight division, Grant was able to secure three consecutive victories over Jonathan Martinez, Martin Day, and Grigory Popov.
On the other hand, Jonathan Martinez suffered his third loss in UFC and overall fourth loss in his MMA career. After the fight, Grant said that he wants to make another appearance in the octagon as soon as possible. However, he did not issue any call-out as he just wants to stay active and climb up the bantamweight rankings.
