In a small video poted by Colby Covington, Trump states, “I am gonna be watching Colby. I am a big fan of Colby. I think it’s going to be a great evening and a great fight. The winner is the Champ. But I have seen him too much and I think he is tough. Good luck Champ.”

U.S President Donald Trump is a close friend of Dana White and showed his support towards UFC even during the pandemic when the promotion wanted to kickstart events amid huge criticism. Trump also made an appearance during the mega-fight between Nate Diaz and Jorge Masvidal for the symbolic BMF belt back at UFC 244 in November of 2019. Just recently, after Dana White raised his voice for the unfortunate death sentence to an Iranian wrestler, Trump tweeted about the same, promising to do everything in his capability to save the wrestler.

Colby Covington’s short video with President Trump only benefits him in his huge MAGA persona and the much-anticipated showdown against Tyron Woodley at UFC Vegas 11 this weekend. Colby Covington is coming off a close fight against Kamaru Usman where he lost the bout via TKO in the fifth round.  Covington was scheduled to face Woodley while he was the interim Champion. While Covington has maintained that he wants his rematch against Kamaru Usman, the fight with Tyron Woodley excited him the same.
