UFC Vegas 22 has suffered some setbacks due to some unfortunate circumstances. The fight card is not as stacked as it was a few days ago. However, this can be an exciting night of fights and the outcome of Bruno Silva vs JP Buys does nothing but prove the above-mentioned notion.
Bruno Silva was coming off two consecutive losses. Silva was yet to secure a win in the UFC flyweight division since his debut at UFC 243. On the other hand, JP Buys was making his UFC debut after a phenomenal performance on Dana White Contender’s Series.
The fight was a crucial one for both the fighters involved especially Bruno Silva. The Brazilian fighter was on verge of getting cut from the organization as he did not have a single win before tonight. But, Silva shined under the bright lights securing arguably the biggest win of his career at UFC Vegas 22.

The fight was full of action as long as it lasted. However, it seemed that Silva had the upper hand against the debutant JP Buys. Silva was the busier of the two on the feet and his accuracy in striking was certainly impressive tonight. Silva threw 37/61 significant strikes with an accuracy of 60%.
Silva also seemed the better grappler when the fight went to the ground. At 2:56 seconds of round 2, the referee decided to stop the fight when Bruno Silva knocked out JP Buys with a vicious right hand.
