Ever since losing to Justin Gaethje in what was a brutal three-round war at UFC 268, Michael Chandler has repeatedly expressed his interest to fight Conor McGregor on social media. The Iron has posted several tweets and has even called out The Notorious for a fight.

In a recent Instagram video by MacLife, Chandler was impersonating the popular billi strut of Conor McGregor after seeing the Proper Twelve sign at a place that looked like a club. The lightweight contender was having a laugh with his friends as he warmed up before imitating the Irishman’s distinguished strut.

The lightweight contender has often shared his thoughts about Conor and has always held him in high regard for his contribution to the UFC. So it is needless to say that Chandler’s billi strut was done in good humour. Besides, several fans commented on this post and shared a laugh after seeing Chandler’s attempt.

Will Michael Chandler fight against Conor McGregor next?
Michael Chandler has not shied away and has made it clear that he wants to fight Conor McGregor next. Moreover, the interest is mutual as Conor McGregor had responded to Chandler’s callout and said that he is down for a fight at some stage. Interestingly, both the fighters have lost their last two bouts and it makes sense that they face each other.

However, despite both the lightweights verbally agreeing to face each other, UFC President Dana White seems to have a different opponent in his mind for Chandler. In a recent Q&A session on Espn, Dana revealed that the UFC is eyeing a bout between Michael Chandler vs Tony Ferguson.
However, the UFC President did not confirm the announcement. Both the fighters have engaged in a back and forth on social media and it would be interesting to see what happens next. With that being said a fight between Chandler and McGregor could still take place if there is a breakdown in the scheduling of the Tony Ferguson bout.
